Publications
The WCDS Publications class is made up of students
who have chosen to volunteer their time, eighth period, to work on the Yearbook
and the Literary Magazine. Getting these two publications published takes a lot
of time, work, and determination. In the end, the year-long effort pays off when
the magical distribution day arrives. On that day, students and staff eagerly turn
freshly printed pages, and smile back at themselves.
The Hoot
The Hoot is Wakefield’s official student newspaper. It’s goal is to
inform, enlighten and entertain. The Hoot, which was re-established as a WCDS
club this year, features investigative reporting, topical humor, and stories with
a more global scope.
