Key Club

Key Club is a high-school service organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. Key Club members build themselves as they contribute to their school and community.

The WCDS Key Club sponsors many school events such as The Annual Homecoming Bonfire and Car Smash, Movie Night, and Soup for Supper. This year, Soup for Supper, was held to raise funds for the Blue Ridge Food Bank. That evening, the students raised $650, which they presented to representatives of the Blue Ridge Food Bank at an assembly on February 6th. This year the Key Club also participated in the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Carnival Parade and succeeded in capturing second place in the fire company's float competition. The group has plans to travel to New Orleans this summer and participate in post-Katrina clean-up efforts.
