Athletics

As part of a classical education, athletics plays an important role.  WCDS takes seriously the dictum mens sana in corpore sano (a sound mind in a sound body). With the conviction that physical fitness is important to the intellectual life, the physical education curriculum encompasses classes from first grade to the prep school years, as well as active participation in extracurricular athletic programs.  Every student with the desire to compete can find a place on an Owl team.
